Breath of an Architect - Bijoy Jain  - Studio Mumbai

From December 9 2023 to April 21  2024, the Fondation Cartier presented Breath of an Architect, an immersive exhibition created by Indian architect Bijoy Jain and his Studio Mumbai team in dialogue with Jean Nouvel’s Paris building. 

This bilingual English/French hardback catalogue recounts the conception of the exhibition and invites readers into Jain’s architectural universe - where craft, nature, gesture and form co‑exist. Featuring his drawings, atelier photographs, works in progress, and essays or conversations with Taku Satoh, Hu Liu and Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye, the book serves as a “work‑in‑progress” document of a highly sensory spatial installation: bamboo structures, terracotta and stone fragments, pigment‑drawn lines and meditative architectural landscapes.
